Supervisor, Janitorial Services
About the Role
Responsible for receiving, logging, and tracking all maintenance-related calls into the request log, coordinating appropriate staff response, and maintaining logs for daily distribution. Assists in ordering supplies and parts from vendors, performing weekly inspections of all buildings under facilities management, and supervising custodian schedules, rotations, and activities. Helps facilitate emergency responses for facilities during events, disasters, or pandemics.
Responsibilities
- Logs all maintenance-related calls into the request log, coordinates maintenance schedules with appropriate staff or contractors, and maintains logs for daily distribution.
- Assists in ordering supplies and parts from vendors.
- Performs weekly inspections of all buildings under facilities management for conformance to janitorial standards, vending, and water contracts.
- Reports hazardous conditions such as fires, vandalism, burglary, and other emergency situations, including items needing repair.
- Trains and assists custodians with interior and exterior cleaning and maintenance.
- Submits daily facility maintenance and operations reports.
- Oversees vendor deliveries.
- Assists and assigns custodians with making deliveries of office and cleaning supplies.
- May perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) years of custodial and clerical experience.
- Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record.

- Working knowledge of proper cleaning tools, equipment, and materials.
- Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
Physical Demands
Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires above-average physical conditioning to walk, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and stretch.
Schedule
This is a full-time position. Typical days of work are Monday–Friday. Hours may vary based on department needs. Must be able to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
Work Environment
Office environment, outdoor environment with exposure to inclement weather or various temperature changes, possible exposure to loud noises, dangerous chemicals, and disposal of hazardous materials (e.g., bodily fluids).
Reporting Relations
Reports to: Facilities Manager and Assistant Manager. Supervises: Custodians.
Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
