Supervisor, Inventory Control (1st Shift) - Lithia Springs (III) GA

Responsibilities

  • Cycle counts, research, aisle audits, adjustments, inventory reporting, and maintaining efficient use of time and equipment.
  • Daily review of Book to Book (BTB) report to identify and resolve inventory variances promptly.
  • Maintain OSD Log (Overages, shortages & Damages) and resolve all outstanding issues related to inbound and outbound deliveries.
  • Prepare and maintain other records as required.
  • Resolve difficult customer inventory problems, maintain a good working relationship with customers, and assist in resolving customer claims.
  • Coordinate and execute customer requests to scrap obsolete, old, and end-of-life inventory.
  • Act as liaison between warehouse personnel, CSRs, and the customer.
  • Communicate results of customer claims to customer and management.
  • Provide on-going training and orientations for subordinates to ensure compliance with Company requirements and policies.
  • Train and instruct other users on using inventory management system (PKMS).

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years Inventory control or accounting experience.
    • Familiar with distribution and warehouse procedures and know inventory control functions.
    • Good communicator, both verbal and written, with good interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office skills.
    • Good math skills.
    • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
    • Prior experience leading a team preferred.

    Additional Information

    The typical starting salary range for this position is: $55,000 - $65,000. The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location.

    Work Location Requirement – APL Logistics: Employees residing within 25 miles of an APL Logistics Hub Office (AZ, FL, MI, NC, OR) are required to follow a designated Hybrid schedule as described below: Fully on-site, or fully remote schedules are determined based on role and business needs. Hybrid employees must report to the office 8 days per month, scheduled by their supervisor. Warehouse roles are typically fully on-site.
