The Opportunity: Supervises the daily activities of the inventory control staff. Ensures adequate levels of material and/or product inventories are maintained. Responsible for evaluating inventory needs and implementing strategies to meet those needs. A level II supervisor has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day to day operations of the group.
Responsibilities
- Implements inventory management strategies to assure company objectives in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, customer service, cost and profitability
- Directs staffing, training, and performance management to develop and improve inventory management function
- Manages and tracks product inventories, providing direction on work in process, finished goods and aged inventories to assure financial reconciliation and inventory integrity
- Directs and prioritizes the daily activities including job packet review, cycle counts, audits, damaged material management, and waste tracking and disposal
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management process and information flow
- Prepares and reviews required business reports
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience required
Skills
- Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes
