Responsibilities

  • Some of the most important characteristics of a Lewis Services Supervisor I is a desire to learn, an ability to adapt, and a commitment to engage in safe, constructive interactions with the public and lead staff with support.
  • You are accountable for advancing a culture of safety and excellence while providing quality and value to our customers and clients.
  • Accountable for the operational results of General Foremen reporting to you and their crews.
  • Schedule weekly crew visits with General Foreman, developing them in project management, safety leadership, reviewing underperforming jobs to develop and action plan, etc.
  • Implement the Corporate Safety Program within your GF workgroups (training sessions, tailgate meetings, award programs, etc.) and hold your GFs accountable for its success.
  • Work with General Foremen and Corporate Safety investigating and settling accident claims quickly, efficiently, and responsibly.
  • Able to use the job costing reports to identify operation issues (efficiency, planning, etc.), cost control issues, and trends to improve the business.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a General Foremen in vegetation management or related experience.
  • Have a safety champion attitude.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of reviewing and preparing estimates for fixed price lump-sum bids.
  • Basic and practical technology knowledge including E-mail, Microsoft Office, and Smartphones.
  • Able and willing to travel via ground or air transportation.
  • Emergencies may require extended out-of-town stay.
  • If required by territory: Must have ISA Certified Arborist and/or ISA Utility Specialist Certification and/or ISA Certified Tree Worker after one year of employment with support of the company.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) would be a plus.
  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Able and willing to learn new programs.
  • QA/QC assessment experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
  • Techincal proficiency with standard office equipment i.e., computers, phones, scanner, fax, and copier.
  • Techincal proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft.
