Essential Responsibilities
- Assists in steps necessary relative to hiring, evaluating, coaching, promoting and disciplining employees by following established HR policies.
- Directs daily work flow of department to maintain productivity and to ensure that time schedules are met.
- Maintains food safety and sanitation standards according to departmental and regulatory agency requirements.
- Monitors the quality and attractiveness of food served to patients and/or cafeteria and special functions to assure that it meets departmental standards.
- Responds to and resolves customer/patient issues.
- Reconciles money, computes transactions, replenishes cash, and banks daily receipts.
- Aids in cafeteria menu and special event planning and execution.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years in a food service role
- Within 60 days of hire, must obtain one of the following Food Protection Manager - ServSafe National Restaurant Association - OR - Certified Food Protection Manager - County Health Department - OR - Food Safety Manager - National Registry of Food Safety Professionals
- PREFERRED: Associate's Degree in related field
- Experience in a healthcare setting
- Management experience
