ADUSA Distribution is the distribution arm of Ahold Delhaize USA, serving one of the nation’s largest grocery retail supply chains. The team supports the evolution to an integrated self-distribution model for leading omnichannel grocery brands including Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford, and Stop & Shop.

About the role

As a Supervisor, Distribution Operations, you will lead a team of associates in a fast-paced distribution center, ensuring safe, efficient, and on-schedule operations. You will partner with the Operations Manager and cross-functional teams across Distribution, Transportation, and Inventory Management to drive service excellence, associate engagement, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a safety-first culture, championing safe practices, regulatory compliance, and minimizing unsafe events.
  • Supervise and develop a team of hourly associates through coaching, feedback, recognition, and corrective action.
  • Drive operational excellence to ensure efficient, accurate inventory flow and meet retail and customer commitments.
  • Optimize staffing, adjust resources as needed, and support recruiting, onboarding, and training efforts.
  • Communicate shift updates and collaborate with other departments to minimize disruptions and maximize throughput.
  • Lead the team to achieve operational targets while managing productivity, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Enforce standards in safety, productivity, accuracy, food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and service levels.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in general distribution operations, or a BS/BA in a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • College degree (preferred).
  • Prior supervisory experience leading hourly associates (preferred).
  • Certified on powered industrial equipment (preferred).
  • Ability to work in temperatures ranging from -5°F to 90°F+ for extended periods.

Pay

Salary range is $63,440–$95,160 annually.
