About the role

The Supervisor of Engineering will be responsible for covering shifts and must have strong problem-solving skills in all areas of maintenance in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas, including restricted public areas such as the kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, using a Windows-based system. Also required is the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Covering shifts to ensure maintenance coverage across guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas, including restricted public areas such as the kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Using a Windows-based system to manage and track maintenance tasks and communicate effectively with other departments.
• Reading and understanding blueprints and schematics to diagnose and resolve issues in various systems.
• Ensuring compliance with all building systems, including security systems for personal protection.
• Communicating effectively with staff and management to coordinate maintenance activities and address any issues that arise.
• Leading and managing teams to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
• Working flexible hours to accommodate the demands of the company.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in building maintenance.
• Prior experience in hotels is preferred.
• A strong operational knowledge of all major building systems, including security systems for personal protection.
• Better communication skills are required.
• Strong leadership skills and a willingness to work different shifts according to the company's needs.
