Supervisor, Construction - Electrical

Responsibilities

• Aid Project Managers in interpreting contract documents and ensuring electrical work adheres to these documents.
• Coordinate with Project Managers on the startup of electrical systems.
• Conduct project inspections to ensure proper installation of electrical systems.
• Review drawings and specifications for compliance with The Texas A&M System electrical construction standards, codes, and construction costs, and recommend necessary adjustments.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with both new and existing electrical systems.
• Assess requests for additional work from architects/engineers, contractors, or using agencies.
• Prepare detailed field reports documenting observations, instructions given, and recommended actions.
• Train Facilities Planning & Construction staff on electrical construction techniques.
• Approve payments for electrical testing services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Seven years of experience in electrical construction.
• Master Electrician certification.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to travel as needed.
