Responsibilities
- Aid Project Managers in interpreting contract documents and ensuring electrical work adheres to these documents.
- Coordinate with Project Managers on the startup of electrical systems.
- Conduct project inspections to ensure proper installation of electrical systems.
- Review drawings and specifications for compliance with The Texas A&M System electrical construction standards, codes, and construction costs, and recommend necessary adjustments.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with both new and existing electrical systems.
- Assess requests for additional work from architects/engineers, contractors, or using agencies.
- Prepare detailed field reports documenting observations, instructions given, and recommended actions.
- Train Facilities Planning & Construction staff on electrical construction techniques.
- Approve payments for electrical testing services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Seven years of experience in electrical construction.
- Master Electrician certification.

- Knowledge of construction principles and practices.
- Ability to read and understand contract documents.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to travel as needed.
