Supervisor, Clinical Production

About the role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the safety, quality, and operational excellence for their shift and value stream. In this role, they direct and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly objectives and activities. The supervisor manages the overall workflow by assigning responsibilities to direct reports on the production floor to ensure right-first-time and on-time delivery to customers.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily activities of the production floor in compliance with company policies, federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, FDA, cGMP standards, and employment law).
• Drive and own the safety culture and results on the production floor, including investigating safety incidents, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
• Communicate operational challenges and execute course corrections related to Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, or Personnel.
• Facilitate line/shift handoff prior to departure every day.
• Plan and execute activities with procurement, maintenance, warehouse, and quality departments to achieve and sustain results.
• Utilize problem-solving tools to drive continuous improvement opportunities for the value stream.
• Manage daily schedules to ensure proper staffing levels, including during vacations and holidays, to meet service levels.
• Oversee and participate in the interview and selection process for hiring.
• Educate and train staff using TWI methodology to ensure adherence to performance expectations.
• Perform associate evaluations, providing feedback and development as needed.
• Own and actively drive KPIs for the value stream through visual control boards and line communications.
• Analyze performance of equipment, personnel, and shift for improvement opportunities; develop and execute plans to improve processes.
• May require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).
• Manage time and attendance daily and approve payroll.
• Adhere to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, and rules.
• Attendance to work is an essential function of this position.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a related field and/or 1-3 years of related experience and/or training.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Intermediate computer skills, including knowledge of various computer programs.
• Full professional proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
• High reasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various forms.
• History of successful supervisory responsibilities.

• Bachelor’s Degree.

Pay

The hiring rate for this position is $68,480–$77,040 plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
