Supervisor, Client Strategy & Integrated Marketing

Team 201 · Chicago, IL · 1 wk ago
HybridMarketing$90k–$110k/yrFull-time

About the Role

The Account Supervisor owns day-to-day operational leadership of one of Team 201's most complex client relationships. At its core this is a program management job: you build the structure that lets multiple client stakeholders, business units, workstreams, and Team 201 disciplines operate as one team.

You own the operating rhythm of the account: status, resourcing, timelines, documentation, workflows, internal coordination, and client communication. You're expected to improve those systems, not just maintain them, and to catch issues before they affect delivery.

You'll work closely with senior account leadership, who owns client strategy, integrated marketing direction, senior client relationships, planning, and account growth. Your job is turning that direction into an executable plan and making sure the team delivers against it.

You don't need to be the deepest subject matter expert in every marketing discipline, but you do need enough integrated marketing knowledge to understand the work, ask smart questions, tie activity to business objectives, and lead specialists.

This role isn't limited to people who came up through agencies. If you've run marketing, product launch, or GTM programs inside a technology company or startup, most of this work will look familiar. Our clients are B2B tech companies, so representative experience is preferred.

Team 201 is an AI-forward agency. You'll be expected to use AI to work more efficiently, strengthen processes, synthesize information, and improve how we serve our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the client's business, stakeholders, priorities, marketing objectives, active programs, and organizational structure.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day operational leader for designated client stakeholders, working directly with their marketing, product marketing, demand generation, sales, and operations counterparts as an embedded program lead.
  • Own the account operating cadence across multiple business units and workstreams, and maintain a holistic view of how priorities, deadlines, resources, approvals, and dependencies interact.
  • Own account status documentation and file structures so deliverables, decisions, risks, dependencies, owners, next steps, and key materials are clear, current, and easy to find.
  • Own account-level bandwidth and resource tracking, and proactively identify capacity constraints, conflicts, and future needs.
  • Own program plans and timelines that account for client-side dependencies — product and release timelines, launch dates, sales readiness, legal and brand review — not just Team 201 deliverables.
  • Create and maintain project tickets in platforms such as Jira and Asana with clear requirements, owners, timing, and status.
  • Lead recurring client status meetings: agendas, materials, discussion, decisions, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate internal teams across creative, content, paid media, marketing operations, and other disciplines, holding owners accountable while making sure they have what they need to deliver.
  • Drive prioritization and tradeoff conversations when timing, scope, resources, or competing priorities conflict, and flag scope, timing, or resourcing issues early.
  • Develop clear project and creative briefs in partnership with senior account leadership and subject matter experts.
  • Lead projects from kickoff through delivery when dedicated project leadership isn't available.
  • Ensure work moves through internal review and quality control before reaching clients.
  • Identify risks and roadblocks early and drive them to resolution, using good judgment about what you solve independently and what needs senior leadership, with clear context and a recommended path.
  • Support quarterly business reviews and annual planning, and report program progress, risks, and results to client marketing leadership in terms of their business goals.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the systems, templates, workflows, and processes used to run the account.
  • Use AI to streamline administrative work, synthesize information, improve documentation and briefs, and accelerate planning.

About You

  • You create structure. You're at your best when there are a lot of moving pieces and someone needs to turn them into a clear operating plan.
  • You've run complex programs. Multiple workstreams, stakeholder groups, business units, or integrated programs at once — and you can hold a clear picture of all of it.
  • You've worked at a B2B-first agency, or a growth stage B2B tech company. Program managers and marketing operations leaders from tech companies and startups are a strong fit. If you've run cross-functional programs where you owned the plan but not the people, you've done this work.
  • You exercise strong judgment. You know what you can solve independently, what needs escalation, and when something needs attention before anyone else sees it coming.
  • You're client-ready. You build trust with senior stakeholders, lead meetings confidently, and can navigate a hard conversation.
  • You can lead specialists without being the specialist. You have enough integrated and digital marketing knowledge to ask smart questions, create clarity, and connect functional work to client objectives.
  • You're proactive and comfortable with ambiguity. You identify risks early and drive toward solutions, and when a process doesn't exist you build one.
  • You're an active AI adopter. You've used AI in your work and are curious about how it changes the way teams operate.

Qualifications & Key Areas of Expertise

  • 5–7+ years in program or project management, account management, integrated marketing, or a related role — at an agency or in-house at a technology company. We're equally interested in both backgrounds.
  • B2B technology experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience running complex client or internal stakeholder relationships with multiple simultaneous workstreams, stakeholders, or business units.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead client or executive stakeholder relationships and cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, including building and maintaining project plans, timelines, status documentation, resource plans, and bandwidth trackers.
  • Experience with project management and ticketing platforms such as Jira, Asana, Wrike, Trello, or Monday.com.
  • Working knowledge of integrated and digital marketing across disciplines such as paid media, content, social, email, marketing automation, creative, web, SEO, and analytics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and the ability to prioritize and make sound decisions in a fast-moving environment.
  • Demonstrated professional experience using AI tools and interest in finding new applications for AI in account management and marketing.

How You Can Grow

Strong operational and program leadership is the foundation of this role, but it doesn't have to define the limits of it. As you demonstrate the ability to independently operate complex accounts and programs, we'll work with you to expand into the areas that best match your strengths and interests. That could include:

  • Integrated strategy: Take a larger role in annual planning, GTM and campaign strategy, integrated recommendations, and client consulting.
  • Marketing expertise: Develop deeper expertise across the marketing ecosystem or specialize in a particular discipline.
  • Execution: Become more hands-on in areas where you have expertise or want to build it.
  • Project and program leadership: Lead increasingly complex integrated programs and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Account leadership: Take greater ownership of senior client relationships, account planning, growth opportunities, and strategic direction.
  • People leadership: Mentor and eventually manage Account Managers or other members of the account team.

The goal is to build exceptional account leaders who understand our clients, know how to get great work done, and have room to develop into the kind of marketer and leader they want to become.

Salary & Benefits

  • $90,000–$110,000 annually, dependent on experience
  • Competitive PTO
  • Employee health, vision, and dental insurance
  • Company 401(k) program
