Supervisor, Chemistry - Nights

About the role

The chemistry supervisor at Curia is responsible for overseeing laboratory testing, coordinating with external testing labs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. This role requires expertise in laboratory equipment and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing tasks using various equipment
• Act as a subject matter expert for testing and troubleshooting complex problems
• Review and correct data, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports
• Coordinate testing at external labs and provide training
• Understand and apply risk assessment and root cause analysis tools
• Train others on product testing tasks and participate in cross-functional teams
• Lead departmental projects and conduct audit tours
• Interact with external customers and other departments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a relevant physical science
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or related industry
• Minimum of two (2) years in a leadership role

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety instructions, SOPs, and technical procedures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to execute arithmetic operations and grasp algebraic and geometric principles
• Effective presentation skills
• Technical foundation and proven capability in using diverse software tools
• Leadership qualities, including integrity, respect, guidance, coaching, mentorship, and collaboration
• Business acumen and a safe, healthy work environment
• Attention to detail and a thorough understanding of regulatory and compliance guidelines
