Supervisor Central Processing
About the role
Provides leadership on a 24 hour basis to the Central Sterile Department and other locations/areas as assigned in order to provide for the entire site's needs. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates new equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Directs, plans, and organizes the staff and activities of assigned departments.
- Ensures best practices relating to decontamination, sterilization, preparing, assembling, and packaging of all instruments are adhered to by the staff.
- Utilizes key performance indicators for trending areas in need of improvement.
- Acts as a role model and maintains proficiency in all areas of responsibilities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate of Applied Science in Healthcare or similar field preferred.
- Certified Central Ser Tech Cred, Cert Sterile Proc Dist Tec Cred, or Cert Surgical Technologist required upon hire.
- Certified Instrument Specialist, Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist, or within 18 months of hire.
- Certified Endoscope Reprocessor, Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor, or within 18 months of hire.
- Certified Healthcare Leader, Certified Sterile Processing Manager, or within 18 months of hire.
- 2 years of experience in Central Processing required.
- 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
Qualifications
Education and credentials include a High School Diploma or GED, an Associate of Applied Science in Healthcare or similar field, and relevant certifications such as Certified Central Ser Tech Cred, Cert Sterile Proc Dist Tec Cred, or Cert Surgical Technologist. Additional certifications may also be required.
Skills
Skills include leadership, planning, organizing, and proficiency in decontamination, sterilization, instrument preparation, and reprocessing procedures.

Pay
$24.35 - $33.48 per hour, bi-weekly pay frequency.
Schedule
Standard hours: Bi-Weekly 75.00 hours. Weekends/Holidays: No requirement. On-call: No requirement. Rotations: No rotation.
Scheduled work hours: 2p-10p, 230p-1030p, 3p-11p, 330p-1130p, 4p-12a. Work arrangement: Onsite.
