As a Retail Supervisor, you will be the premier “SUGARTAINER” delivering a SWEET customer experience while promoting our brand. This position serves as a steppingstone toward a management role within IT’SUGAR.

Responsibilities

• Act as Leader On Duty:
  • Oversee daily store operations and ensure sales objectives are met.
  • Evaluate daily operations and initiate actions to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
  • Foster a productive work environment through consistent coaching and training of Sales Associates.
  • Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, and brand-proud attitude.
  • Promote safety for customers and associates by adhering to company guidelines.
  • Partner with the store manager to identify challenges and present solutions.
• Deliver Exceptional Customer Service:
  • Follow the customer engagement model SUGARTAINMENT: set the stage, welcome, engage, entertain, and thank customers.
  • Assist customers with requests and inquiries.
  • Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and meets visual standards.
  • Operate POS/register to properly cash out customers.
• Achieve Sales Goals:
  • Follow through on customer requests for specific items and suggest additional products.
  • Use selling skills by explaining benefits, features, prices, quality, value, and other product information.
• Support Store Operations:
  • Maintain store cash handling records, reports, and opening/closing procedures.
  • Ensure visual standards support the brand image and merchandise displays to visual guidelines.
  • Plan, coordinate, and set up special events and promotions.
  • Maintain communication with associates regarding product recommendations to increase sales/inventory.
  • Understand all Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures; communicate LP issues with the Store Manager.
  • Perform operational responsibilities including sales floor, backroom, restroom maintenance, cleaning, mopping, etc.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years of retail experience and at least 1 year of supervisor experience preferred.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able and willing to work 32-40 hours a week.
• Must be able to use a POS/cash register.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
• Able to independently lift/move up to 25 lbs; lift/move up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• Must be able to work alone or with minimal supervision.
