About the role
The Supervisor, Annuity Administration oversees daily production and supports a team responsible for post-issue annuity transactions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and with strong service to agents, clients, and internal partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily workflow, production, and service expectations for post-issue annuity transactions
- Review backlog reports, monitor workloads, and help ensure transactions are processed timely and accurately
- Coach, support, and provide feedback to team members while helping them understand expectations and priorities
- Absorb and assist with onboarding, training, performance discussions, and employee development
- Support quality assurance by reviewing work, identifying trends, and helping reduce errors
- Partner with agents, clients, marketing, auditors, HR, and internal teams to resolve questions and provide updates
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend ways to improve controls, procedures, reporting, and efficiency
- Support special projects and contribute to team goals, KPIs, and service level agreements
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Two or more years of demonstrated leadership, team lead, coaching, or supervisory experience
- Experience in financial services, insurance, annuities, banking, accounting, or transaction processing is preferred
- A general understanding of accounting concepts, debits/credits, financial products, or similar products is helpful
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external partners
- The ability to prioritize work, hold others accountable, ask thoughtful questions, and identify better ways of doing things
