About the role

The Supervisor, Advanced Practice Provider - ENT/OHNS - Medical Group APPs - Full Time 10 Days (Exempt)(Non-Union) is responsible for providing both clinical services and leadership and managerial services. Reporting to the Associate Administrator of Advance Practice Providers, the Supervisor facilitates safe and efficient operational flow of the dedicated patient population at Keck Medical Center, Arcadia Hospital, Verdugo Hills Hospital, and USC Care Clinics. They supervise, educate, and evaluate the performance of Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Manages staff by delegating and directing activities and assignments, supervising, hiring, educating, disciplining, and evaluating performance.
  • Schedules, assigns daily duties, and assesses the performance of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
  • Completes initial assessments, oversees staffing and operational needs, and keeps staff informed of clinical and service updates.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, communicates, plans, and implements care, and ensures adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Evaluates and modifies practices to ensure efficient operational flow, identifies quality improvement issues, and develops unit-based quality improvement programs.
  • Ensures complete and accurate documentation, manages time effectively, and maintains current licenses and credentials.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including participating in unit activities and sharing knowledge with colleagues.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner, or graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership abilities, professional, respectful, effective communication, strong critical and strategic thinking, analytical and planning skills, and excellent communication skills.
  • Preferred 2-3 years of lead/charge or supervisory experience and experience in clinical specialty areas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Up to 3 years of lead/charge or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in clinical specialty areas.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing).
  • Nurse Practitioner - NP (CA Board of Registered Nursing).
  • Nurse Practitioner Furnisher (CA Board of Registered Nursing).
  • National Board Certification in Nurse Practitioner area of specialty accredited by ABSNC or NCCA.
  • Physician Assistant - PA (CA DCA).
  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • DEA Certificate issued by the U.S. Department of Justice for Schedule II-V controlled substances.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association.
  • Fire Life Safety Training (LA City).

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $164,403.00 - $271,265.00.
