About the role

Responsible for overseeing and managing the accounts payable functions within the organization through leading a team of accounts payable specialists, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, adhering to payment terms, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide leadership to the accounts payable team, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring performance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, and payment transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review and approve high-value or complex invoices, resolving any discrepancies or issues before payment processing.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with payment terms and discount opportunities, maximizing cost savings for the organization.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships, addressing inquiries, resolving disputes, and ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments.
  • Develop and implement accounts payable policies, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits of accounts payable transactions, vendor records, and payment processes to identify and mitigate potential risks or errors.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in a related field of study required; Bachelor's Degree in finance or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of accounts payable experience required; 1+ years of supervisory experience preferred.

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment methods, vendor management, and related controls.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as relevant tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues related to accounts payable.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and develop a team, promote collaboration, and drive performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, internal stakeholders, and management.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Schedule

  • Full time, Monday - Friday eastern standard business hours.
  • Hybrid, onsite required 4x/month.
  • Remote hours require a quiet, secure, HIPAA compliant working area.

Pay

Pay range: $79,560.00 - $115,720.80/Annual.
