Responsibilities
- Manages, supervises, and schedules assigned personnel, including completing performance appraisals, and carrying out appropriate disciplinary actions as needed.
- Designs, implements, and evaluates pharmaceutical services.
- Continuously interprets and assists in the development and implementation of departmental rules, regulations, and policies.
- Communicates with physicians, nurses, and other health-care professionals, as well as the general public.
- Prepares and maintains reports, memoranda, and records.
- Aids in managerial decisions including developing the budget.
- Develops and trains staff to support and enhance professional development.
- Performs professional pharmacist duties as needed.
- Procures pharmaceuticals and supplies and maintains inventory.
Requirements
- Requires at least two (2) years (equivalent to 4,000 hours) of experience as a licensed pharmacist in a hospital pharmacy; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Requires possession of a valid Registered Pharmacist license issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy (Please attach a copy).
- License status must be "Current" according to https://search.dca.ca.gov/.
- One (1) year of recent and verifiable inpatient pharmacy experience obtained within the last five years.
