Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is to design and implement behavior interventions tailored to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other behavioral challenges. The BCBA also trains and supervises ABA therapists and other team members, ensuring adherence to treatment plans and data collection.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Direct supervision for ABA Therapists or Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
• Indirect supervision for students completing fieldwork towards BCBA or BCaBA certifications

Duties/Responsibilities

• Use assessment tools like VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, or AFLS to develop individualized treatment plans
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on observations, feedback, and data
• Maintain detailed records and prepare reports as required
• Ensure compliance with contracts, standards, and insurance requirements
• Coordinate with families and other professionals to recruit, train, and retain ABA therapists and RBTs
• Conduct assessments and present findings, including preference assessments, functional analyses, and behavior assessments
• Participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Facilitate positive public relations and collaborate with other agencies
• Engage in professional development activities

Education and Experience

• Master's degree in ABA, special education, psychology, or related field
• Three years of recent experience working with ASD clients
• Knowledge of autism assessment tools and procedures
• Experience in various ABA techniques and child development
• Current certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
