About the role
The role is responsible for managing the city's public parks and ensuring they are maintained in a safe and attractive condition.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair park facilities including playgrounds, walking trails, and picnic areas.
- Oversee landscaping and horticulture activities to ensure proper maintenance and growth of plants and trees.
- Coordinate with community groups and volunteers to organize events and activities in the parks.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents within the parks, ensuring safety and security.
Requirements
- A degree in parks and recreation management or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in park management or a similar field.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of local laws and regulations regarding public parks.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Benefits

Pay
$45,000 annually.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
