Supervising APP, Critical Care

Overview

The APP Supervisor for Critical Care is a key leadership role responsible for operational oversight, team performance, and the ongoing development of advanced practice providers within the Critical Care service line. The APP Supervisor ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through strong operational management, implementation of evidence-based practice, and development of a highly engaged provider team.

JOB SPECIFICS

• Provide operational oversight of APPs within the Critical Care service line.
• Manage APP staffing, scheduling, productivity, recruitment, onboarding, and orientation.
• Maintain quality indicators, identify trends, and implement improvement strategies to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
• Support provider development, complete and discuss performance evaluations, and address performance, professionalism, and safety concerns.
• Foster a positive work environment through engagement, recognition, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Collaborate closely with physician and nursing leadership to ensure team alignment, service excellence, and successful implementation of clinical and quality initiatives.
• Provide direct patient care while serving as a clinical role model, with responsibilities divided into approximately 70% administrative and 30% clinical.

• Full-time, clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $64.61-$72.87.
• This position is paid hourly. Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations.
• Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement
