Supervising Actuary - Foreign Casualty

About the role

Join AIG’s world-class actuarial function as a Supervising Actuary - Foreign Casualty. You will support our Foreign Casualty business, elevate the technical capabilities of the underwriting team, and partner with underwriting and claims departments to ensure profitable performance and growth. This role involves managing a team of 2-4 actuaries and implementing best practices and analytical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct profitability studies, rate development, and maintenance.
• Review pricing for large accounts and provide planning support.
• Assess the impact of loss trends and claims emergence.
• Partner with underwriting and claims departments to drive profitable growth.
• Implement best practices and analytical techniques across the actuarial team.
• Manage and mentor a team of 2-4 actuaries.

Requirements

• BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• ACAS or FCAS designation.
• 7+ years of actuarial pricing experience.
• 2+ years of actuarial management experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, SAS, Python, R, or other programming languages (preferred).
• Strong business acumen, collaboration skills, and responsiveness to operational demands.
• Effective time management, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $134,000–$167,000, with eligibility for a bonus under the applicable incentive plan.

Schedule

This role requires in-person collaboration, with team members primarily working in the office to support AIG’s culture of connection and effectiveness.
