Superviseur(e) production -Bécancour (ABI)
About the role
Reporting to the Sector Operations Supervisor, the Operations Supervisor provides direct supervision of unionized operators in their sector. They must exercise mobilizing leadership with their team members to achieve set objectives while making health and safety a priority and instilling this value within their team.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day human, technical, and material resources assigned to you.
- Develop and motivate team members.
- Foster effective communication between your team, management, and clients.
- Promote ABI values and advocate for the achievement of sector and plant objectives.
- Ensure compliance and consistency in operational methods, procedures, and instructions related to health and safety as well as production.
- Ensure shift objectives are met while adequately preparing for the next shift.
- Prepare and conduct "start-of-shift" meetings and monthly team meetings.
- Conduct individual meetings with employees as needed and maintain an intervention log for necessary follow-ups.
- Maintain positive working relationships within the team and with others to foster collaboration in achieving the plant’s vision, mission, and objectives.
- Validate the quality of work performed by your team.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in supervision.
