Superintendent, Site Development

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple crews and sites throughout the DC Metro area (DC/VA/MD).
• Read civil plans, proposals, change orders, and scope-related documents.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Demonstrate willingness to seek assistance when necessary, avoiding tasks beyond your expertise.
• Interpret cut sheets and operate a transit for grade shooting.

Requirements

• Operating skills (excavator, skid steer, and bulldozer).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to access secured sites.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Knowledge of site work/utility work.
• Understanding of county codes for the DC Metro region.
• Safety knowledge.
• Client-facing experience and professionalism, with the ability to converse with clients and the office team.

Physical Requirements

• Physically fit to perform duties in all types of environments and conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, use hands, handle or feel objects, and verbally communicate.
• Frequent walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, or crawling.
• Specific vision abilities: distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
