The Superintendent, Plant Process (Front End) is responsible for supervising and driving plant maintenance process optimization for the functional area assigned in a 24/7 Manufacturing. They lead a process team to enhance plant performance in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

  • Support development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the food safety system.
  • Establish maintenance procedures on equipment, including planning, budgeting, execution, and periodic review.
  • Apply knowledge of functional area to conduct system and process analysis, identifies opportunities for improvement, and makes recommendations to management.
  • Participate in designing and overseeing new systems and processes that improve and enhance plant performance in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Coordinate and apply maintenance techniques directed toward monitoring and reducing maintenance and repair costs.
  • Arrange for maintenance of adequate level of supplies, materials, and parts so that there will be no interruption in operations due to shortages.
  • Arrange for training of employees in proper maintenance programs and procedures for plant production equipment.

Requirements

  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college degree level education or work-related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • Job related experience for 5 year(s) minimum
  • Working knowledge of the following areas:
    • production processes
    • product specifications and technology of equipment
    • generally accepted supervisory practices and procedures
  • Ability to apply intensive and diversified evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard plant production, chemical process, and warehouse techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Ability to negotiate with contractors for facilities/building maintenance.

Skills

Works in both office and manufacturing environments.

Benefits

Expected Hiring Salary Range: $85,900-$119,890 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.) This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.

Schedule

Onsite Work Environment: This requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site. Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
