About the role

VCC is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead ground-up multifamily projects from mobilization through completion. VCC is a nationally recognized, debt-free general contractor with projects in all 50 states and a history of ENR Top 100 rankings. Our Superintendents are empowered to lead safety, schedule, quality, and performance on every jobsite.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce safety policies and build a culture of jobsite safety
  • Drive schedule performance and coordinate subcontractors in proper sequence
  • Plan construction procedures aligned with contract documents and specifications
  • Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and manage 3-week look-ahead schedules
  • Inspect work to ensure quality and specification adherence
  • Collaborate with General Superintendents, engineers, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve issues and improve construction methods
  • Coordinate material delivery and expediting with the Project Engineer
  • Obtain and monitor permits, inspections, and compliance requirements
  • Review cost reports and process back charges per SOP
  • Manage time and material approvals
  • Maintain daily documentation: reports, punch lists, billing sheets, and jobsite records

You are the field leader ensuring the work is completed safely, correctly, on schedule, and within budget.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years supervising ground-up commercial construction with a general contractor
  • Experience leading $20M+ multifamily projects
  • Willingness to travel as business requires
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong leadership presence and professional communication skills
  • High standards for safety, quality, and performance
