Superintendent -MRI Ground Up
Client: State of NY Office of General Services (OGS). Project: ground-up MRI facility on the campus of a psychiatric hospital.

LiRo-Hill, a 1,100-person integrated construction, design, and technology firm ranked among the nation’s top A/E firms by Engineering News-Record, is expanding its team to deliver construction management, engineering, architectural, and program-management solutions for public- and private-sector clients. This role is part of a consolidation of experienced staff from The LiRo Group and Hill International in the Northeast.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site, day-to-day monitoring of construction activities for multi-trade contracts to ensure conformance with contract requirements.
- Monitor work and materials to ensure quality-control standards are met at all project stages.
- Coordinate third-party code inspections and documentation.
- Communicate with the project team and support subcontractors to execute job duties effectively.
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications; prepare daily reports and activity logs.
- Perform or schedule inspections to meet safety and compliance regulations.
- Maintain a written daily log of visitors, job actions, materials expended, and problems resolved.
- Identify and resolve problems and conflicts; organize meetings and collaborate with team members.
- Review contractor as-built drawings.
Requirements
- Minimum eight years of experience in NYC construction leading multiple phases of building/rehabilitation projects.
- Background as a General Construction Superintendent or MEP Superintendent preferred.
- Minimum four years of experience as a Superintendent or Inspector on large-scale, multi-contract building projects.
- Ability to develop and communicate a project work plan, monitor manpower and performance, and perform detailed trade-coordination reviews of design drawings.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Experience with Submittal Exchange and Bluebeam preferred.
- Institutional-construction experience preferred.
- Strong Excel, written-communication, and technical skills.
- OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Pay
Compensation range: $95,000 – $120,000 per year. Exact salary will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and location.
