About the role
Leopardo is seeking a Superintendent II to join their team as a traveler. The role involves running day-to-day field operations, planning, directing, and coordinating project activities on medium-sized projects or as part of a team on larger projects. Key responsibilities include subcontractor/vendor coordination, quality control, and client engagement.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily subcontractor, foreman, and self-perform activities
- Initiate a project quality plan to monitor initiatives, document associated observations, and ensure compliance to work quality standards
- Verify field conditions by conducting daily jobsite walkthroughs, toolbox talks, and ensuring adherence to safe work plans
- Maintain and update the detailed master schedule, create a two-week look-ahead, and track critical dates of all activities affecting project completion
- Participate in pre-construction, weekly, and post-construction meetings
- Review construction documents, maintain on-site records, and use PlanGrid for document management
- Generate pre-punch and punch lists, determine responsible subcontractors, and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Build and nurture relationships with clients/owners, architects, developers, and subcontractors
- Assist in recruiting and training efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in construction, engineering, architecture, or related fields preferred and/or equivalent training and experience
- 5+ years of supervisory experience as a construction Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
- A clear understanding of the business side of construction
- A comprehensive understanding in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control
- A proven record of success on singular mid-sized projects ($1-5M) or multiple small-sized projects concurrently
- Experience in the healthcare, retail, and/or hospitality markets preferred
- A thorough understanding in construction technologies such as scheduling software (Raken), Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and associated construction software
- The ability to read and understand blueprints
- Certified OSHA 30 Hour and First Aid/CPR

Pay
Target base salary range: $130,000 - $145,000. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vehicle allowance.
Schedule
This position is a travel-based role, requiring frequent relocation to various project sites across the country.
