About the role

If you're a healthcare Project Manager who knows how to keep projects moving in active hospitals - without disrupting patient care - this role will feel familiar in the best way. You'll step into a Superintendent position with a well-established Texas General Contractor known for complex healthcare work, strong repeat clients, and a leadership team that trusts its people to run jobs the right way.

Responsibilities

  • Lead field operations on healthcare construction and renovation projects
  • Build and maintain project schedules while driving production in the field
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and design teams
  • Implement Lean construction practices, including Last Planner System principles
  • Manage work in occupied healthcare facilities while maintaining safety and infection control requirements
  • Oversee quality control, inspections, punch lists, and project closeout
  • Ensure compliance with all jurisdictional, life safety, and healthcare regulations
  • Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools to track progress and communicate updates

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial, healthcare, institutional, or complex renovation work
  • Experience working in active hospitals, medical facilities, or occupied environments
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, manpower planning, and field coordination
  • Experience with phased renovations, infection control requirements, and life safety measures
  • Ability to hold trade partners accountable while maintaining strong jobsite relationships
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction software
  • Strong communication skills and a practical, no-nonsense approach to problem solving
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred

Skills and Experience

  • 5-10+ years running work in the field on commercial or healthcare construction projects
  • Experience working in active hospitals or occupied healthcare facilities where keeping operations running is critical
  • Ability to lead multiple projects at once or take charge of a large, complex jobsite
  • Solid understanding of scheduling, manpower planning, and keeping work on track
  • Experience with phased renovations, occupied spaces, infection control, and safety requirements
  • Strong track record coordinating subcontractors, inspectors, design teams, and facility staff
  • Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, and construction scheduling software
  • Straightforward communicator who solves problems and doesn't create drama
  • Team-first mindset with a focus on quality work, safety, and building long-term client relationships
