Superintendent (Heavy Civil)

Heavy Civil Superintendent needed for a top-tier, high-paying construction contractor. Superintendents lead field operations on high-profile infrastructure projects, working alongside experienced project managers, engineers, and skilled craft professionals. Responsibilities

• Supervise roadway, highway, bridge, underground utility, grading, earthwork, paving, or transportation infrastructure projects.
• Lead field operations from project startup through final completion.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and self-perform crews.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain safe, compliant job sites.
• Lead daily planning meetings, safety meetings, and coordinate work between multiple trades.
• Identify field issues, troubleshoot construction challenges, and implement effective solutions while minimizing schedule impacts.
• Maintain project schedules while ensuring quality workmanship and cost-effective execution.
• Communicate effectively with owners, inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
• Document daily reports, production quantities, inspections, and project progress.
• Travel to project sites as required.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Superintendent or field leadership experience within heavy civil construction.
• Proven experience supervising heavy civil construction methods, sequencing, equipment, and productivity.
• Experience working on DOT, municipal, county, or other public infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and a demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules.
• Working knowledge of scheduling software, project management platforms, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Pay

$120,000 – $155,000 per year
