Job Responsibilities

  • Understands and enforces contractual documents, including contracts, schedules, and pay applications.
  • Captures and leads the project team, assisting with business development and preconstruction efforts.
  • Proactively anticipates potential issues and takes corrective action to prevent project complications.
  • Continuously develops leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.
  • Plans and coordinates daily and weekly work activities, including sequencing and interaction of trades, and leads weekly progress meetings and daily trade huddles, maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintains complete and organized site records, including daily progress and delay logs, tool inventory, and punch lists, ensuring timely creation, distribution, and completion.
  • Manages subcontractor performance, enforcing compliance and taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Collaborates with subcontractors for material procurement and delivery according to the schedule.
  • Aids in developing bid scopes, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, monitoring approval timelines, and identifying long-lead items.
  • Supports project staff with Request for Information (RFI) processes and ensures proper coding of timesheets, material invoices, and Comdata charges; regularly reviews job costs with management.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, best practices, and the Master Forms Library.
  • Participates in ongoing training efforts to improve knowledge and skills.
  • Delivers exceptional client service, exceeding expectations throughout project delivery.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • 5 years’ experience as a commercial construction Superintendent.
  • Experience with AHCA and healthcare commercial construction is required.
  • Experience with ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment).
  • Must have experience working for a fast-paced Commercial Construction company.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently.
  • Must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Must have strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Must be able to meet high-quality standards while meeting aggressive schedules/deadlines.
  • Must display strong leadership skills and personal accountability.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Math ability – Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning ability – Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills – Basic computer skills needed.
