Superintendent - Healthcare

About the role

Structure Tone is looking for a Superintendent to support our New Jersey Healthcare-based projects. The Superintendent is responsible for the timely and cost-effective field coordination, quality control, and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces for construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the project schedule and maintain reports accurately describing project status.
• Review status and project progress with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis.
• Ensure safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
• Direct sub-contractor activities within ground-up construction projects.
• Analyze manpower, material, equipment requirements, and interface the requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.
• Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by field construction management.
• Prepare reports and forecasts, as required, and keep supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities.
• Ensure safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when in the operational area; tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
• Coordinate Lock-out Tag-out with responsible subcontractors of utilities such as Nitrogen, Vacuum, Compressed Air, RODI, and Steam.
• Manage QA/QC and understand client engineering specifications or requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field experience.
• Experience should include some supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer, or Assistant Superintendent.
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills are required.

Pay

Salary: $125K – $165K

Compensation: In addition to base pay, eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
