Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Superintendent to join our team. This position is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for managing all aspects of the construction process from initiation to closure.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing project development from initiation to closure.
  • Conduct job walk-throughs to assess the progress of construction projects, identify potential issues, and provide solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Cook up with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, construction workers, and clients to ensure project goals are met.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Ensure all construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of construction workers and subcontractors, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company standards, contractual agreements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction management role, with a focus on fully integrated development.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting job walk-throughs and managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of successfully leading and motivating teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a range of stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and timelines, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
