Superintendent for Residential Properties in Irvington, NJ

About the role

Goldfarb Properties is a family‑owned and managed business with approximately 32 properties and over 6,000 apartments across five regions. We are seeking an experienced Superintendent for our Irvington, NJ location to join our team and contribute to the culture and growth of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Respond to residents' maintenance needs
• Prepare vacant apartments for new tenants
• Supervise porters and contractors on the property

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years hands‑on experience with plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, and general maintenance
• At least 3 years in a supervisory position
• Black Seal License – Low Pressure (or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment)
• On‑call 24/7 availability
• Electrical and plumbing experience
• Own all necessary tools
• Ability to snake and clear a drain
• Ability to troubleshoot a boiler
• Computer literate
• Yardi experience (a plus)
• Positive CAN‑DO attitude (must)
• Spanish speaking (a plus)

Qualifications

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry
• Experience with snow removal and driving a plow truck (a plus)

Skills

• Plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry
• Computer literacy and Yardi familiarity
• Spanish language ability
• Snow removal and plow truck operation
