Superintendent - Federal Contracting

Job Description

Provide field management execution for federal contracts. Ensure that project goals are accomplished safely within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

• Project pursuits and execution will be in the Mid-Atlantic region centered around the Tidewater area of Virginia and include MILCON and infrastructure, piers, dry docks, levees, or flood walls for USACE, NAVFAC, and other government agencies.
• The scope of this role may include leading field execution for a single project or a specific discipline/area on a mega project in the federal market segment, using varied contract procurement methodologies (Design-Bid-Build, ECI, Design-Build, MATOC, MACC, IDIQ, etc.).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Schedule, plan and coordinate personnel, equipment and materials for self-perform portions of the work.
• Coverage of these duties may include leading field execution for a single project or a specific discipline/area on a mega project in the federal market segment, using varied contract procurement methodologies (Design-Bid-Build, ECI, Design-Build, MATOC, MACC, IDIQ, etc.).
• Coverage of these duties may include leading field execution for a single project or a specific discipline/area on a mega project in the federal market segment, using varied contract procurement methodologies (Design-Bid-Build, ECI, Design-Build, MATOC, MACC, IDIQ, etc.).
• Coordinate work activities of subcontractors and provide GC support as required by the subcontract to execute the work safely and effectively.
• Review line drawings from Field Engineer and implement line drawing into the field with the Foreman.
• Identify conflicts between elements of the work and crews and eliminate them.
• Orientate new trades for self-perform crews.
• Lead safety and productivity planning on designated work items with the crews.
