The Construction Manager plans, supervises, and coordinates all tasks in the building process, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while managing trade partners, quality control, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor daily activities of trade partners to align with project schedules and scope of work.
- Inspect work quality and approve payments upon satisfactory completion of tasks.
- Maintain construction administration software (e.g., Procore, BuildPro) to reflect accurate progress and completion dates.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes and OSHA regulations; maintain safety records and conduct regular safety meetings.
- Coordinate and document necessary building inspections, including securing final occupancy certificates.
- Inspect, schedule, and maintain records related to Lennar’s Stormwater Prevention Plan and environmental guidelines.
- Secure Lennar properties and protect against weather, theft, vandalism, and other damage.
- Provide feedback to division leadership on trade partner performance regarding quality, punctuality, and communication.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to enhance budgets, address cost variances, and plan system improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of job changes, including engineering reports, change orders, and purchase orders.
- Engage with customers and associates to provide updates, schedule walks or orientations, obtain signoffs, and attend necessary meetings.
- Deliver “Zero Defect” homes.
Requirements
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in project/construction management in multi-family construction.
- Strong knowledge of multi-family construction.
- Ability to read, understand, and implement adjustments to commercial architectural and structural blueprints, off-site improvement plans, and soils reports.
- Knowledge of relevant commercial building codes and all scopes of work.
- Expertise in BuildPro, Hyphen, and Procore is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Project.
- Regular, in-person attendance at company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours.
- Ability to work more than eight hours per day in confined quarters of a construction trailer, operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and/or carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional operation of construction equipment may be required.
- Finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
Pay
The base compensation for this position is expected to range from an annual salary of $80,741.50 to $120,330, subject to adjustment based on qualifications, geographic pay differentials, and operational considerations. This position may be eligible for bonuses and commissions.
