Superintendent - Construction

We are seeking a Superintendent to join a well-established general contractor headquartered in Fairfield, New Jersey. This role will oversee ground-up and interior fit-out commercial construction projects across a diverse portfolio, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations on commercial construction projects ranging from tenant fit-outs to large-scale ground-up developments
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution
• Maintain project schedules and proactively identify potential delays or conflicts
• Enforce site safety standards and company compliance procedures
• Conduct quality control inspections and ensure work meets project specifications
• Track project progress and document site activities

Requirements

• 2-10 years of experience as a Superintendent with a Commercial General Contractor
• Experience overseeing commercial construction projects, including both ground-up and interior fit-out work
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, safety, and subcontractor management
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, project teams, and ownership
• Organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
• Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is a plus
