Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all construction services and activities on assigned projects
- Lead and manage construction crews, ensuring efficiency and safety on-site
- Manage subcontractors to ensure high-quality work and adherence to project timelines
- Interface regularly with clients, inspectors, and building officials to ensure smooth communication and compliance
- Maintain detailed daily logs and weekly production reports to track progress
- Implement cost-effective strategies and techniques in the field, leveraging experience and knowledge of the industry
- Manage all field operations for assigned projects, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- Proactively manage project budgets, striving to complete projects under budget when possible
- Foster a culture of safety and commitment to PSC's core values
- Ensure project schedules are met, and milestones are achieved
- Collaborate with Project Management and Estimating teams to develop effective construction approaches
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction field operations (internship or co-op experience considered)
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Building Construction/Science, or related field (preferred)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive, “hands-on” approach to problem solving
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with construction management software (Procore)
- Experience using smartphones and tablets in conjunction with field management software
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and trade practices
- Eager to learn, grow, and develop into a future Superintendent role
