Superintendent - Commercial Construction
Job Details
We are seeking a Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations for commercial construction projects, overseeing site safety, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, quality control, and overall project execution.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience with a commercial general contractor or design-build construction firm
- Strong background managing commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, education, mixed-use, or adaptive reuse projects
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documents
- Ability to coordinate subcontractors, inspections, site logistics, safety programs, and project closeout
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, construction sequencing, quality control, and field problem-solving
- Comfortable working closely with Project Managers, architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractor teams
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, P6, or similar construction management software preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field environment

Job Description
Oversee daily field operations and manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain project schedule and quality standards
Review plans, specifications, shop drawings, and project documents to ensure work is built according to contract requirements
Manage site safety, conduct regular safety meetings, and enforce OSHA and company safety standards
Partner with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and ownership teams to communicate progress, challenges, and upcoming needs
Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders
Monitor construction schedules, identify potential delays, and help develop solutions to keep projects moving forward
Oversee inspections, punch lists, closeout activities, and turnover documentation
Maintain accurate daily reports, site photos, manpower logs, and field documentation
Support cost control by tracking field issues, change impacts, material deliveries, and labor productivity
