Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily and weekly yields, efficiencies, and profitability while taking corrective action as needed.
  • Manage staffing and production schedules to meet customer needs and optimize resources.
  • Develop and implement safety and ergonomic programs, train employees on safe work practices, identify hazards, and aim for an injury-free workplace.
  • Uphold sanitation, product quality, and customer service standards to ensure compliance with USDA and company regulations.
  • Conduct line meetings to reinforce high standards and compliance expectations.
  • Train supervisors and employees on company policies and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and plant efficiency.
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to employees on the production floor, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 3+ years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience acting as a lead through training, coaching, or mentoring less experienced staff or through managing a process or project.
  • Experience using a variety of computer applications, including time-keeping systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office programs, to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
  • Open to travel up to 10% of the time.

Qualifications

  • In-depth manufacturing expertise, including optimizing yields and plant efficiencies, mastering operations procedures, and ensuring smooth and productive plant operations.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, such as OSHA standards, USDA guidelines, and HACCP regulations, ensuring compliance and maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Bilingual advantage, allowing effective communication in diverse, multicultural environments and enhancing team collaboration.
  • Dynamic team player, thriving in fast-paced, ever-changing environments, working seamlessly with others while fostering a respectful, approachable, and team-oriented atmosphere.
