Superintendent
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, train, and manage project personnel while overseeing employee performance and development.
- Serve as the primary customer contact and maintain strong client relationships.
- Manage project schedules, staffing, workload distribution, and installation progress to meet customer deadlines.
- Oversee project budgets, profitability, job costs, invoicing, collections, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, quality requirements, and project specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections, daily job walks, outage prevention activities, and review as-built documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while providing leadership and technical expertise.
- Maintain operational processes, including estimating, purchasing, scheduling, warehousing, invoicing, and reporting.
- Lead safety initiatives, operational meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Manage project documentation, change orders, timesheets, material tracking, and project closeout requirements.
- Oversee company tools, equipment, and vehicle inventory and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Physical and Mental Requirements: Regular attendance is mandatory. Self-motivated, positive approach, appropriate professional image, promotes company culture, problem-solving, critical thinking, reading, writing, oral presentation, organizational skills, teaching project management systems, learning and teaching, interpreting blueprints, lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking large job sites, seeing and distinguishing colors, reading small print, hearing and recognizing audible signals.
- Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements: Minimum of five (5) years’ experience of supervisory or managerial experience, minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Lead Communications Technician or similar position, minimum of five (5) years’ experience in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field, proficient with a computer and Microsoft Office, meets Company minimum driving standards, demonstrates ability to define project, create scope of work, estimate, develop tasks, and manage to completion.
