Superintendent
About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Superintendent to oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in commercial construction and a proven ability to manage complex projects effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage all pre-construction tasks, including developing crisis management plans, schedules, site logistics plans, site-specific rules and regulations, and safety plans.
- Oversee field staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, conducting daily huddles, weekly work plans, and coordinating job site activities.
- Develop, manage, and implement project schedules, making necessary adjustments and collaborating closely with the Project Management team.
- Select subcontractors, write RFIs, and track procurement of materials, tools, and equipment in coordination with the Project Management team.
- Ensure project-specific quality control requirements are met by implementing site-specific Quality Control plans and developing Procore activities.
- Maintain updated on-site documentation, including drawings, logs, and inspection books, and assist in documenting As-Built drawings.
- Align project budget with labor, materials, and equipment costs, and assess weekly/monthly cost projections with the Project Management team.
- Complete project closeout tasks, such as punch list execution, commissioning, final inspections, and owner training.
- Lead project team in Lean methodologies, standard work, and Pull-Plan sessions.
- Ensure a safe work environment by conducting job safety meetings and orientations, and complying with OSHA and other regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
- Support and implement Lean and continuous improvement culture.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in commercial construction.
- Project management and construction management expertise.
- Experience in healthcare, education, manufacturing, or large commercial projects.
- Strong background in estimating and working with subcontractors.
Skills
- Experience with large or complex projects.
- Proficiency in managing and implementing construction schedules.
- Strong understanding of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement.
Work Environment
The role requires working on-site at various construction locations, coordinating with multiple teams and stakeholders. The Superintendent will work in a dynamic environment that emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration. Standard work attire is expected, and adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory.
This is a fully onsite position in Fargo, ND.
Pay
The pay range for this permanent position is $100,000 - $180,000 per year.
