About the Role
Safely operate heatset machinery to meet and exceed quality, production, and efficiency goals. Function as a primary source of finish application in yarn conversion, ensuring resistance to wear, dimensional stability, and adherence to product specifications.
Responsibilities
- Threads and repairs breakouts to maintain efficiency and meet production standards.
- Proactively identifies yarn quality during production runs.
- Selects and stages tubes for winder operation.
- Doffs off finished yarn packages as required.
- Maintains daily production records.
- Runs both creeling and winding sides when needed.
- Uses black light to check for no mixes.
- Attends job-related training as deemed necessary by supervision.
- Follows all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
- Performs general housekeeping duties as necessary.
- Performs other tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Successful completion of all required on-the-job training.
- Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
- Previous yarn or manufacturing experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements
- May require bending, squatting, climbing, and other physical movement for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Working around moving equipment and in an industrial environment.
- Working in an environment with regular exposure to chemicals, noise from machinery, dust, fumes, and variable temperatures.
