About the Event

Our free Forde event is open to everyone—no registration required. Choose your own pace and distance.

Meeting Point

On Sunday at 3:00pm, we meet at Frankies at Forde. People usually start arriving 10 to 15 minutes before the starting time for a stretch and chat. If you're coming alone, get in touch and keep an eye out for one of our volunteers.

Run or Walk

As a group, we start every event by walking the first 200-500m. This is an opportunity to check in with ourselves and each other. After that, you can decide whether to walk or run, and how far. Just aim to be back at the starting point in about 30 minutes.

Post-Exercise

After exercising, we all meet back at Frankies at Forde for a drink and chat.

Safety

  • Bring a headlamp or flashlight during the winter months, as some sections of the course are very dark.
  • Keep left to ensure a clear path for people and cyclists heading in the opposite direction.
  • Running for Resilience is an unstructured community event. Participation is at your own risk. Running is a physically active sport—consult your doctor if you have pre-existing injuries or medical conditions.
  • Organizers and volunteers are not always present and do not accept responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage sustained by participants.
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome at our events. If running with a dog, ensure it is under your full control on a short lead at all times. Your dog must remain with you and cannot be left alone along the course or at the start line.

Feedback

Our community is ever evolving. We are committed to learning and adapting to ensure events remain as safe as possible. If you have a safety concern or idea, please let us know.
