About the role

Cadence Academy Preschool is seeking dedicated educators to join our team. We offer a supportive environment where children are respected and cared for.

Responsibilities

• Greet children and families daily, fostering professional and welcoming relationships.
• Recognize and respond to individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, adhering to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioral support plans.
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and Cadence Signature Programs.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with families, coworkers, and leadership using Cadence-approved tools and systems.
• Follow Cadence Education Safety and Supervision Manual, documenting and reporting accidents and incidents according to policy.
• Aid in managing, documenting, and escalating child behaviors in accordance with Cadence policies and classroom expectations.
• Adhere to all Cadence Education policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and professional development, which may occur outside regularly scheduled work hours.

Requirements

• Meet minimum experience and education requirements for the state of employment.
• Previous experience in an early childhood or group care setting is preferred.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High level of flexibility and willingness to work within business hours.
• Previous experience as a preschool teacher preferred.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to consistently follow safety procedures, including Name-to-Face accountability, food allergy processes, bottle-feeding procedures, and Safe Sleep practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team.
• Experience reading, writing, and speaking effectively in English.

Skills

• CDA preferred but not required if state requirements are satisfied.
