About the role

The Ho Tung Visualization Lab & Planetarium at Colgate University seeks a qualified candidate to support the development of immersive fulldome experiences through scriptwriting and research. This role focuses on crafting compelling, scientifically accurate narratives for planetarium shows and educational programs.

Responsibilities

• Craft compelling, scientifically accurate narratives for planetarium shows and educational programs
• Work at the intersection of science, storytelling, and immersive media
• Help translate complex concepts into engaging content for K–12 audiences, university courses, and public presentations
• Collaborate with educators and scientists
• Receive and integrate feedback effectively
• Manage projects independently

Requirements

• Strong creative writing and narrative storytelling skills
• Experience in collaborative creative development
• Proven ability to work with educators and scientists
• Skilled at receiving and integrating feedback
• Excellent communication and deadline management skills
• Ability to manage projects independently
