Summer Law Clerk (Estate Planning)
About the Role
McNees Summer Law Clerks receive real-world legal experience and meaningful exposure to a variety of assignments from their assigned practice group in the Estate Planning team. Clerks are invited to firm events and networking opportunities and are provided mentorship from current McNees attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of legal topics
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents
- Assist attorneys on various projects and assignments – both billable and non-billable
- Observe client meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings as appropriate
- Maintain organized files and documentation related to assigned projects
- Perform administrative tasks and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Second year law student pursuing a J.D. at an accredited law school
- Interest in trusts and estates
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, driven, and detail-oriented
