Summer Job for Teachers – Baseball & Softball Educator ($23/hr) | Ages 5–12

Position Overview

As a Professional Educator At Mets Camps, You Will Teach and reinforce core baseball/softball fundamentals
Lead age-appropriate skill development drills for campers ages 5–12
Execute our structured Mets Camps curriculum with consistency and energy
Create a safe, positive, and accountable camp environment
Identify teachable moments during drills and games
Work collaboratively with Site Directors and coaching staff

What We’re Looking For

• Have experience teaching children ages 5–12
• Confident demonstrating and correcting fundamental baseball or softball skills
• Maintain strong classroom management in an outdoor setting
• Lead with enthusiasm, structure, and accountability
• Be dependable and professional
• Ideal backgrounds include Elementary Teachers, Physical Education Teachers, After School Program Leaders, Health & Wellness Educators, Special Education Teachers, Teachers who have played or coached baseball/softball at a high school level or above, Educators with youth sports coaching experience

Schedule & Commitment

• Monday–Friday (no weekends)
• Approximately 8-hour camp days
• 3–5 week minimum commitment preferred
• Camps run weekly from June 15 – August 21, 2026
• Reliable transportation required

Compensation

• Professional Educator Rate: $23.00/hour
• To Qualify For This Rate, Candidates Must Have at least 1 full school year of paid teaching experience
• Provide proof of teaching certification (preferred but not required if equivalent experience proof can be provided)
• Additional coaching roles available at different rates

Camp Locations

• Connecticut: Fairfield, Westport, Stamford, Darien, New Canaan
• New York: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bayside, Elmont, Stony Brook, Smithtown, Huntington, Rye, Pleasantville, Mamaroneck, Hartsdale
• New Jersey: West Windsor, North Caldwell, Millburn
