Summer Internship - Structural Engineering

Responsibilities

• With close supervision, summer interns will work with professional engineers, engineers-in-training, and drafters on current projects
• Structural Assignments May Include Analysis and design of building structure components such as foundations, columns, beams and floor framing systems, lateral force resisting systems, etc.
• Will require learning several structural analysis software.
• Use of Revit to coordinate with architecture and other disciplines and to produce construction documents
• Construction administration tasks such as reviewing RFIs and submittals
• Potential for construction site visits in the vicinity of the internship

Qualifications

• Currently a college student working to obtain a professional degree from an accredited Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
• Entry level student intern on the path to Engineer-in-Training certification with little or no previous experience
• Working knowledge of Revit or other BIM drafting and presentation tools preferred
