THE INTERN EXPERIENCE

  • Understanding the practical aspects of Geotechnical Engineering
  • Aiding with field reconnaissance and planning of field exploration
  • Aiding with compiling geotechnical data, preparing boring logs, and developing subsurface profiles
  • Performing geotechnical analysis involving slope stability, liquefaction, and capacities of foundations
  • Supporting the preparation and development of geotechnical reports
  • Attending site visits during the construction phase of various projects
  • Assisting with other project-related deliverables

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Enrolled in Master's Program in Geotechnical Engineering or Geosystems Engineering
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Course work in soil mechanics, engineering geology, and foundation engineering
  • Basic knowledge of software such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The paid intern program lasts for 10 weeks between June and September, with exact dates flexible.
