Summer Intern - Nuclear Engineering

About the role

As a Nuclear Engineering Intern, you will support engineering activities related to nuclear reactor systems, core design, fuel management, and plant operations. You will gain hands-on experience applying nuclear engineering principles to commercial nuclear projects. You will report to the department manager and be located at our Cranberry, Warrendale, Blairsville, or New Stanton, PA facility.

Responsibilities

• Help with nuclear design calculations and analyses
• Support reactor core design and fuel management activities
• Analyze engineering data and simulation results
• Participate in nuclear engineering training and seminars
• Support technical report development
• Assist engineering teams with design solutions
• Contribute to project planning and execution efforts

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering
• Completed Sophomore year of college
• Interest in reactor physics, nuclear systems, or fuel design

Pay

The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $25.40 to $29.00 per hour.

Schedule

This is a paid full-time hybrid or onsite position for the summer, May - August 2027.
